It's amazing how starting a business these days are as easy as setting a blog(spot) site. Thank god it's free to keep 'cost' minimal and being able to sell off my bakes at minimal selling price!
It isn't really such a long story on why I like and enjoy baking & cooking. It's in the blood! My whole family loves cooking! Grandma is good with her Cantonese Soups, Mum is good at her Curry Chicken ala Peranakan Style & Hainanese Chicken Rice(balls), Dad is good with his Chicken Stew & Pork (fill in the blank), I'm good at Desserts (hence this blog) and Sis is good at tasting. Lol!
I don't know if you fellow 'cooks' feel the way I do. Each time I make a successful Steam Egg or Brownie, I gloat in my heart, occasionally being proud out loud, I will go "Wow, this is damn good!" *inserts laughter* I like how I serve food to my loved ones and it brings a smile across their faces!
Sometimes, baking takes my mind off things. I bake when I feel down and after spending 3 hrs (preparation + baking + cleaning up) in the kitchen, somehow or rather, the sense of accomplishment takes my load of unhappiness away and I'll feel so good! Amazing!
I'm taking a leap. Taking a break off the Corporate world. The BF is supportive of my whole baking idea! Everyone's supportive and I'm happy! You know, rather than bumming around not doing no shit, maybe selling whatever I baked might be the best solution out to end my bummer life? Ha. Not. Seriously, I've done this before a couple of years back selling cooking and pineapple tarts for CNY, it was good balls! Literally. Orders after orders. But subsequent years later, I've stopped doing because I was working and it was physically draining to be rolling them pineapple tarts.
So tadah, here I am. Please give me all your support!
